DEVELOPMENT OF L&T KATTUPALLI SHIPYARD CUM PORT AT KATTUPALLI, TAMIL NADU

Client: L&T - ECC Division

L&T-RAMBØLL was awarded the job by L&T Shipbuilding Limited, Chennai.(Joint venture of L&T and TIDCO) to prepare a Detailed Project Report(DPR) for the development of Shipyard cum Port complex. Objective of the study is to enable optimal development of required facilities for Shipyard cum Port and EIA Studies and obtaining MOEF approval for the project.

Scope of Services provided:

To assist client in identification of agencies for field survey and investigations with technical specifications.
To prepare DPR which includes review of traffic study, vessel size analysis, facility requirements and sizing, conceptual layout of relocated CPCL intake and outfall, Master plan, Preliminary engineering, Cost estimate, Implementation schedule, Tariff, Revenue and Financial viability analysis.
Carryout complete Mathematical model study.

DEVELOPMENT OF PORT AT SUBARNAREKHA

Client: Creative Port Development Pvt. Ltd

Government of Orissa is keen in attracting private sector participation for development of infrastructure in the Balasore district of the State. In this regard Government decided to develop an all weather deepwater port at Subarnarekha. The project site is located in the mouth of Subarnarekha river. Accordingly, the government signed a MoU with Creative Port Development Pvt. Ltd (CPDP) for development of the same.

CPDP approached M/s L&T-RAMBØLL Consulting Engineers Ltd, Chennai (LTR) for Technical consultancy services for preparation of the Project Report for the proposed port at Subarnarekha.

Scope of Services provided:

To assist client in identification of agencies for field survey and investigations with technical specifications.
To prepare Technical Project Report which includes Project site study, review of traffic Forecast, vessel size analysis, Facility requirements, Alternative layout, Model Studies, Master plan and Cost estimate.

DETAILED ENGINEERING OF BERTHS FOR GANAGAVARAM PORT DEVELOPMENT, ANDHRA PRADESH, INDIA

Owner: Gangavaram Port Limited

Gangavaram Port Limited is developing five berths viz. Coal (320 X 25 m), Iron ore (340 x 25 m), Other dry bulk (275 x 31 m), Multi purpose (285 x 31 m) and Port craft cum general cargo (240 x 17 m) on the east coast 15 Km south of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

L&T-RAMBØLL was appointed as EPC Contractor’s (L&T-ECC Division) Engineer.

Scope of Services provided:

Detailed design of berths
Preparation of detailed construction drawings for all components of berths with precast / in-situ superstructure elements
Obtaining approvals for design and drawings from Proof Check Engineer appointed by Owner
Preparation of As-built drawings
