DETAILED DESIGN OF ROADS WITHIN TOWNSHIP AT PUNE

L & T – Ramboll was awarded the job by PKRPL, Pune to prepare a detailed design of roads for the Township proposed at Kondhwa.
Scope of Services Provided:
Detailed Design of road within the township as per the proposed master plan and cross sections and produce Good For Construction (GFC) drawings. Design shall include:

DETAILED DESIGN OF ACCESS ROADS AND PLATFORMS FOR JODA MINE PROJECT AT ORISSA

Client : L&T ECC (EDRC) Limited

Tata Steel Limited is establishing 4.0 MTPA DCM Plant at JODA in Orissa State which is of hill terrain.  Different facilities and platforms are to be connected with access roads and Area gradation of platforms to construct various crushing units and facilities need to be done. Slope protection and retaining works for roads and platforms are also part of the project. L&T Ramboll was involved in tender engineering for the same for L&T ECC (EDRC) Limited during the tender stage and on successful bidding by L&T, the detailed engineering was awarded to L&T Rambøll Limited.

The project consists of design of roads for 4.5km in a hilly terrain. The project also consists of design of protection work for various facilities located at different levels.

Scope of Services provided both for roads and platforms:

• Identification of requirement for survey and soil investigation
• Validation of topographic data, Soil investigation data
• Geometric Design of roads
• Geometric Design of Intersections
• Design of Pavement for access roads
• Design of Rigid pavement for crusher house platform.
• Preparation of plan & profile and detailed benching preparation for the structures
• Design of storm water drainage
• Detailed design of retaining structures/Stone Pitching/Soil Nailing for roads and platforms
• Preparation of typical cross section drawings
• Preparation of GFC Drawings
• Preparation of Bill of Quantities
• Preparation of As-Built Drawings based on the details provided by the contractor

Detailed Engineering for four laning of Krishnagiri Thumpipadi Section of
NH-7 from Km 94 to Km 156 on BOT basis

Provided Detailed Engineering Services for Rehabilitation and Upgradation of existing two lane road to four lane divided carriageway configuration from Km 94.000 (Krishnagiri) to Km 156.000 (Thumpipadi). Also provided improvement, operations and management for existing four laned stretches in adjacent section from Km. 156.000 (Thumpipadi) to Km. 163.400 (Thoppurghat). The project comprises:
9 major junctions, 47 minor junctions, 5 flyovers, 15 underpasses, 1 ROB, 1 major bridge, 11 minor bridges 136 culverts, 1 toll plaza, 3 truck lay byes, 1 rest area, and 37 km length of service roads. Various facilities like bus bays, truck lay byes, drinking water kiosks, toilet blocks, street lighting etc have been provided at appropriate locations along the project stretch apart from state of the art highway traffic management system.

Description of Services provided by LTR:

• Inventory of Road and Structures, Topographic Survey, Geotechnical Investigation, Pavement Condition Survey and Benkleman Beam Deflection Survey and Classified traffic count and Axle Load Survey.
• Detailed design of Horizontal and Vertical Alignment of Highway and Service Roads, Detailed Design of Grade Separators, Interchanges and Intersections, Detailed design of Road Appurtenances, Design of Toll Plaza & Rest Area.
• Hydrological analysis for catchment area and fixing drain dimensions, Detailed design of drainage system, Detailed design of Cross drainage structures (Culverts, Minor and Major bridges), Design of longitudinal profiles of drains to suit existing cross-drainage structures & proposal of fresh cross drainage Structures where ever necessary, Design of median drains in super-elevated sections of highway, Preparation of Drainage Plan and Profile drawings indicating flow lines and Design of Protection works.
• Obtaining approval from Independent Consultant, Preparation of Good For Construction drawings, Preparation of Bill of Quantities for Road and Structural Work and Preparation of "As Built" Drawings
