ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT FOR MULTI-MODAL INTERNATIONAL CARGO HUB AIRPORT AT NAGPUR,

: Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Ltd. Multi-Modal International Cargo Hub Airport at Nagpur
(MIHAN) was conceived for development as passenger and cargo hub airport in an area of about
2,935 ha by taking over the existing Nagpur airport. MIHAN is located at a distance of about 10-km south of Nagpur City. The facilities proposed in the MIHAN, in addition to the existing facilities, are terminal building consisting of international and domestic passenger and cargo terminals, upgradation of the existing runway, taxiways, navigational aids and development of other infrastructure facilities like truck terminal, inland container terminal, residential areas, commercial areas, etc. An important concept is that the entire MIHAN area, with a few exceptions, is proposed as a Special Economic Zone (SEZ).

Government of Maharashtra appointed Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation
(MSRDC) as a nodal agency to develop a world-class Multimodal International Hub Airport at Nagpur to cater to the needs of passengers and cargo. MSRDC appointed L&T- RAMBØLL to carryout a
Techno-Economic Feasibility Study and Bid Process Management. The study also includes carrying out Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for
the proposed project and providing technical assistance for obtaining Clearances from the Statutory Bodies. The Services provided are as

DEVELOPMENT OF HYDERABAD MULTI-MODAL SUBURBAN COMMUTER TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM ON COMMERCIAL FORMAT,
ANDHRA PRADESH Client
: Government of Andhra Pradesh and Indian Railways The
proposed Multi-Modal Suburban Commuter Transportation System for Hyderabad / Secunderabad aims at integrated transportation system on a commercial format by providing connectivity to the missing links and greenfield corridors. The aim is to achieve "Transit Oriented Development" such that it ensures public's modal shift from personalised modes to the mass transport mode.
GoAP appointed Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad (MCH) as the nodal agency to develop a comprehensive transportation system for Hyderabad. MCH appointed L&T-RAMBØLL to prepare a Detailed Project Report including risk identification, assessment and management in order to assist in structuring a Public–Private Partnership. The work involves carrying out studies on present commuter traffic, origin-destination pattern and identification of possible alignment options for an MRTS corridor. The study also includes carrying out Environmental and Social Impact Assessment for
the proposed project. The study has been carried out in two
stages.

Rapid Environmental Impact Assessment Study And Risk Analysis Study For Development of Marine Terminal Facility near Karaikal,
PONDICHERRY
Client : Chemplast Sanmar Limited
Chemplast Sanmar Limited (Chemplast) is proposing to set-up a Marine Terminal Facility near Karaikal in the Union Territory of Pondicherry for importing Ethylene for their Ethylene Di-Chloride (EDC) Plant located at about 3 km from the marine terminal. The marine terminal includes jetty, approach trestle (1.3 km) and onshore pipeline (1.4 km) from landfall point to EDC plant location. With this background, Chemplast has appointed L&T-RAMBØLL as Consultants for carrying out the Rapid Environmental Impact Assessment and Risk Analysis Studies for obtaining Environmental Clearance from MoEF. The services provided are as follows:
