HIGH LEVEL VIADUCT AT KUSGAON ON MUMBAI-PUNE EXPRESSWAY, MAHARASHTRA Client: ECC Construction Division, Larsen & Toubro Limited L&T-RAMBØLL has done the engineering for this viaduct at Kusgaon on Mumbai-Pune Expressway for Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. The viaduct is 1,092 m long, with dual 4 lanes and connecting ramps at interchange and 3 overpasses on the ramps. The total deck area of the structures is 43,200 sq.m. The viaduct has aesthetically shaped girders, piers and pier caps.

APPROACH SPANS FOR ROAD OVER BRIDGE AT UTTAMARKOIL, TAMIL NADU Client: P&C Construction Group L&T-RAMBØLL has provided full project consultancy services for approach spans for Road Over Bridge at Uttamarkoil including topographic surveys, geotechnical investigations, detailed engineering, good for construction drawings, periodic site supervision and advice for the approach spans for the ROB which run for a total length of 708 m (360 m and 348 m on both sides). The approach is on a ‘S’ curve on one side and required special efforts. The cross-section proposed is of box type section with curved alignment. The major achievement in this project is the design of acute curvature in the alignment.

FLYOVER AT LAJPAT NAGAR, NEW DELHI Client : Delhi Tourism & Transportation Development Corporation Ltd. L&T-RAMBØLL provided detailed engineering services for a 6 lane flyover covering 3 junctions along with pedestrian subway facilities at the 3 junctions. The superstructure consists of 2 independent carriageways of pre-cast segmental box girder, continuous over 4 spans. Subways were constructed by diaphragm wall methodology. Choice of construction technology was based on clients requirement for minimum obstruction to traffic during construction and speed of construction. The shape of the cross-section for the deck is done by the Consultant based on aesthetics.
