L&T-RAMBØLL was appointed by APIIC as consultant for preparation of the Project Proposal for submission to Government of India for setting up a Petroleum, Chemical & Petrochemical Investment Region between the coastline and NH-5 stretching between Visakhapatnam in the north and Kakinada in the south, spread over 603 sq.km. The study covers all aspects including Delineation, Regional Master Planning, Infrastructure Assessment and Planning, Block Cost Estimation, Identification of Funding Sources, Framing Management Structure, Identification of Suitable Legal Framework, Assessment of Socio-Economic Benefits, Regional Environmental Impact Assessment and Technical Assistance to APIIC for Technical Review Meetings at GoI, Road Shows. The project proposal prepared by LTR has been approved by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, the High Powered Committee of Gol and the Cabinet Committee of Economic Affairs.
